As the Planet Heats Up, So Does Climate Policy Debate

This March, the Barcelona School of Economics teamed up with the Econometric Society and CEPR to organize an interdisciplinary meeting on Economics and Climate Science (ESIFCLIM).
Around 60 economists, climate scientists, policymakers, and members of international organizations from across the globe met in Barcelona with two objectives in mind:
- To help each other understand the major research and policy gaps in climate mitigation actions
- To debate mitigation actions and policies together from multiple perspectives
The conference took place at the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), one of BSE’s founding universities.
