2nd Summer School of the Econometric Society, Seoul, Korea, August 5-9, 2014


Econometric Society is pleased to announce “2nd Summer School of the Econometric Society" will be held in Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea,  August 5-9, 2014.   The theme of the 2nd Summer School is "Frontiers of Economic Theory."    Five experts on microeconomic theory will deliver lectures:  (listed in alphabetical order) In-Koo Cho (University of Illinois), Akihiko Matsui  (University of Tokyo), Ariel Rubinstein  (Tel Aviv University and New York University), Joel Sobel (University of California, San Diego) and Asher Wolinsky (Northwestern University).    We plan to hold a few sessions for a selected group of students to present their research.

Interested students should file applications at http://www.zvulunylab.com/esSummer2014  between January 1, 2014 and February 28, 2014.   An applicant must be a member of Econometric Society at the time of application.   To join the Econometric Society, please check http://www.econometricsociety.org.    Admission decision will be made by March 31, and will be notified individually.   Information about scholarships and registration will become available, when the admission decisions are made.  All participating students should register within a few weeks after they are admitted.   The final program of the Summer School will be announced around May 31, 2014.   For the latest information of the Summer School, check its home page (http://econ.hanyang.ac.kr/esSummer2014).
