2010 World Congress Venue

The Executive Committee of the Econometric Society has considered the proposals to host the 2010 World Congress presented by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in cooperation with Fudan University and China Europe International Business School, the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) in cooperation with Fudan University and Tongji University, and the Singapore Management University (SMU) in cooperation with the National University of Singapore, the Nayang Technological University and INSEAD. It has also taken into account the Memorandum of Understanding whereby SJTU and SUFE pledge to cooperate with each other if either proposal is endorsed by the Executive Committee. The Committee wishes to thank Professors Lin Zhou (SJTU), Chunrong Ai (SUFE), and Roberto Mariano (SMU) for putting together these proposals.

The Executive Committee is pleased to announce that it has chosen the proposal presented by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and looks forward to the 2010 World Congress in Shanghai.
